IUI: Blood Brain Barrier Belgium Symposium

On November 13th 2023, the KU Leuven alongside with other partner universities, i.e. VIB Center of Research, Hasselt University, Universiteit Gent, Universiteit Antwerpen and Université Libre de Bruxelles, will organize the 2nd Belgian Brain Barriers Symposium which offers national and international young researchers the opportunity to share their work and establish valuable scientific connections in the field of the barriers of the central nervous system (CNS).

After a successful first edition in Hasselt, this year the symposium will be organized in Leuven as a satellite event preceding the VIB conference ‘Periphery-brain Interplay and CNS Disease’, with special focus on the research of students and young investigators, who will have the opportunity not only to present their work to other researchers and experts on the field, but also to receive feedback and exchange recent knowledge and ideas on brain barriers research. The program will consist of two keynote lectures (Robert Thorne – Denali Therapeutics, US and Irena Loryan – Uppsala University, SE), oral and poster presentations of young investigators and a networking reception where there will be the opportunity to connect with keynote speakers and industry scientists.

Registration is open and can be done through the following link 2nd Belgian Brain Barriers Symposium | VIB Conferences (Early bird deadline: October 3, Final deadline: October 27).
