IUI: Interuniversity Biohackathon Belgium

You are kindly invited to join us for the upcoming Interuniversity Biohackathon Belgium, taking place September 25–26, 2025, in Leuven!

This two-day event brings together MSc and PhD students, postdocs, researchers, and professionals working at the interface of AI and bioinformatics. Organized in collaboration with KU Leuven, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Antwerp, and the Regional Student Group of ISCB in Belgium, the hackathon features hands-on challenges, keynote talks, and excellent networking opportunities.

What to Expect

  • Keynotes from researchers at InstaDeep, Scienta Lab, and an alumnus of Harvard Biostatistics
  • A practical hackathon with three focused tracks:
    • Data Exploration & Classical Bioinformatics
    • Machine Learning for Prediction
    • Tool Development & Integration
  • Opportunities to connect with peers and researchers from across Belgium and the ISCB student community
