To bring young researchers from all around Belgium working on all aspects of basic and applied vaccine research (pre-clinical, clinical, human, animal, academia and industry, …), we present the Young Belgian Vaccinology Day: a one-day symposium uniting PhD students, postdocs, and senior scientists to share findings, discuss your work, foster new collaborations, or prepare your next career move.
- Date & Venue: February 19, 2026, at Rega Institute, Leuven.
- Format: Multiple thematic sessions covering the entire spectrum of vaccinology, keynotes, with coffee breaks, lunch, and poster session. Program details follow registration deadline.
- Keynotes: Michael Mühlebach (Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, DE) on regulatory vaccine science; Santiago F. Gonzáles (IRB, CH) on immune responses to tattoos.

Theis interuniversity symposium is hosted by the KU Leuven Lab of Molecular Vaccinology and Vaccine Discovery (MVVD), in collaboration with the doctoral school of Biomedical Sciences, and is supported by the University of Antwerp, the Tropical Institute of Antwerp , UGent, ULiège, and the Flemish government.
