Training ‘Project Management’ for postdocs – 18 & 19 November (9:00-17:00)

 

During this interactive training you will be given the tools and techniques to manage projects and to handle the human aspects of project management (such as mobilizing employees for the project, communication, cooperation with the different project roles, teamwork and project leadership). Furthermore, you will learn through the experiences with project management of fellow postdocs and to asses when project management is important and when it is not.

During this training we will focus on:

• Gaining insight into the philosophy and meaning of project management
• Learn to assess when project management is appropriate and when it is not
• Understanding the methodology of project management: framework & stage gate process related to tackling projects
• Being able to use tools and techniques to manage projects: project definition, project planning, project follow-up, project closure
• Insight in and tools for handling the human aspects of project management, such as mobilizing employees for the project, communication, cooperation with the different project roles, teamwork and project leadership
• Learning together through the exchange of experiences with project management between postdocs

This training is a two-day interactive training given by Annelies Loosveldt, project and change manager, trainer and facilitator.

Important info!
Prior to the training, the trainer will plan online intake interviews with the participants so the training can be prepared in the best possible way. These (online) discussions take place on November 13th. Please block this date in your calendar.

During the training we will provide coffee, tea and water. Lunch is not provided.
