How to leave a lasting impression and get hired for the job you really want?

Get an insight on how recruitment processes are organized within the University of Antwerp and outside. Not surprisingly, scientific research has shown that more targeted application efforts result in a higher chance to get hired. So it is not about sending as much CV’s as possible, but rather making sure every step of your application process is showing the best possible match between you and the vacancy (Van Hooft, Org. Psych. Rev. 2012). You will have to stand out among
other applicants and leave a lasting impression in every step of the application process.

In this workshop we will help you prepare for future job applications. During two half day sessions we will focus on both the internal and the external application process.
In the morning, will provide you with useful tips regarding your resume, cover letter and job interviews. In the afternoon, we will guide you through applying on the external job market.

This training focuses on practical, hands-on tools that you can get to work with right away. Also, you will get the chance to learn from each other: your own experiences as an applicant could be useful in the professional development of another trainee.

In order to make sure that our training is customized as much as possible, you’ll be invited to send in your resume (the version you are now using), and some of your specific questions.

During the workshop we will provide coffee, tea and water. Lunch is not provided.
