IUI event: ‘Diversity in Science’ Conference
You are kindly invited to the interuniversity ‘Diversity in Science’ Conference, a half-day event dedicated to fostering meaningful conversations about diversity and inclusion in research.
The event will also tackle how to create institutional change for a more diverse and inclusive working environment in research.
What to Expect:
- Inspiring Speakers: An inspiring lineup of speakers including Koen Van Laer, Adrian Liston, Delia Mensitieri, Jan D’hooge, Mohamed Lamkanfi, Gamze Kanatlar and Christine Durinx, will discuss:
- The importance of diversity for innovation and scientific advancement.
- How to build inclusive research departments and workplaces.
- Personal career journeys in academia and industry.
- Interactive Discussions: Take part in dynamic panel discussions and Q&A sessions.
- Networking Lunch: Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch while connecting with like-minded students, researchers, and professionals from a variety of disciplines.

This event, organized by students and faculty of the KU Leuven Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, is open to a broad audience from all research disciplines.
