Workshop ‘Applying for a job’

How to leave a lasting impression and get hired for the job you really want?

 

Scientific research has shown that more targeted application efforts result in a higher chance of getting hired. It’s not about sending out as many CVs as possible, but about ensuring that every step of your application clearly highlights the best possible match between you and the vacancy (Van Hooft, Org. Psych. Rev. 2012).

 

In this workshop, you will learn how to create a strong and tailored CV, how to write a convincing motivation letter, and how to prepare effectively for the job interview. By strengthening each of these elements, you will be able to stand out from other applicants and leave a lasting impression throughout the entire application process.

 

This training focuses on practical, hands-on tools that you can get to work with right away. Also, you will get the chance to learn from each other: your own experiences as an applicant could be useful in the professional development of another trainee.

 

In order to make sure that our training is customized as much as possible, you’ll be invited later on to send in your resume (the version you are now using), and some of your specific questions.

The workshops takes plas on 2 October 2026 from 9:00-13:00.

During the workshop we will provide coffee, tea and water.
